Drummers With Attitude
Drummers With Attitude (D.W.A) was a big hit at this year’s conference. The group is compromised of approximately sixty students from middle and high school from the Bristol Township School District. It contains boys, girls, and regular and special education students of all ethnicities. Kevin Travers, Drummers With Attitude Advisor, began the group in 2000 with a Mentoring Program that he created in 1998. In the beginning, the group consisted of about six children. Even students who have graduated still return to perform with the group. To date, they have performed in numerous community events, performed for WXPN’s “All About Music” Festival, played the half-time show for the Philadelphia 76ers organization, Soul, and Flyers games. They have been featured on FOX local news, NBC 10, and WB17 as well as in the Bucks County Courier Times.
The Philadelphia Soul have scheduled D.W.A. to entertain the crowd during a half-time show in April 28, 2008.
